Enugu state police reminds the public on the ban against the use of motorcycle

The Enugu state command of the Nigeria Police Force reminds members of the public as well as relevant Agencies in the state that the Ban on the use of motorcycle within Enugu North, East and south local Government Areas of the state is still in force as anyone  violating the law will be promptly apprehended irrespective of his/her Agency and prosecuted in line with the provisions of the relevant sections of the law.

The command wish to categorically state that its attention has been drawn on the activities of some members of the public as well as some people from  relevant Agencies who ride their motorcycles within the areas mentioned thereby contravening relevant sections of the law  dwelling on the use of motorcycles within the areas as mentioned above.

To this end, the command further wishes to remind members of the public  as well as relevant Agencies to be law abiding  as anyone caught will be made to face the full weight of the law as security operatives of the command has been charged to fish out those in this habit for appropriate necessary action which includes arresting of such operator(s),impounding of the said motorcycle(s) and prosecuting of offenders in accordance with the relevant provisions of the law. Those that will operate within the Enugu North, south and East local Government Areas are licensed, registered and authorized  courier  services company that have duly obtained their permit from the appropriate quarters. The Enugu state command of the Nigeria Police Force has advised members of the public to be weary of disclosing their Automated Teller Machine card Pin number as well as that of their Bank Verification Number (B.V.N) to  people  to avoid unpleasant consequences of hoodlums wrecking havoc on their bank account. The command also is advising good people of the state to also be weary of those who will pretend to assist them to withdraw money from Automated Teller Machine point with their ATM cards as such people might be mischief maker(s) desirous to cash in on such opportunity to get their pin number and change their card without them knowing and thereafter, wreck havoc on their account. The command wish to further inform members of the public that this piece of information has became necessary in view of intelligence information gathered about the antics of these mischief makers who try to reap from where they did not sow just as the command have unmasked and arrested kingpin involved in this unwholesome act and who is helping the police operatives in their investigations.
