IMOLITES HAIL INTEGRATED FARM PROJECT OF IMO GOVT

Imolites across the twenty seven Local Government Area have commanded the State Government for the establishment of Integrated Farm Projects in every Local Government Areas of the State.

Speaking with some journalists, the Transition Chairman of Abor Mbaise Local Government Council M.A. Enyioha has stated that he introduction of integrated farm project in Aboh Mbaise had turn into a land of palm trees.

He further gave assurance that in no distant time Aboh Mbaise will become the largest producer of palm produce thereby making the area the largest green belt and home of palm oil in Nigeria.

Enyioha also disclosed that right now, the Local Government Area had established yellow root cassava farm, white green vegetable farm, water melon and cucumba farm, fluted pumpkim garden, water-leaf vegetable garden and snaileny farm among others in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of the State.

He further revealed that in Ahiazu Mbaise Local Governemnt Area Fish farm poultry farm have been established in large number or in massive farms.

In the same vein, the Transition Chairman of Ehime Mbano LGA Hon. Chike Orjiako has also stated that with integrated farm project they have established cassava farm, pineapple orchard, plantain plantation and poultery farm in the local government area.

The TC. Chairman of Ideato North Hon. Mrs. Ijeoma Obiezu also reiterated the establishment of piggery farm, cassava plantation and pineapple orchard  in the Local Government Area, stressing that poultry farms, plantain plantation pineapple orchard and cassava farm have been replicated in Ideato South Local Government Area, as a result of integrated farm project.

Hon. Augustine Ezeigbo who has express delight in Integrated Farm Project of Rescue Mission said that with the vision the Local Governmemnt Council has established a gigantic Fish Pond and promise to replicate it to every community in the Local Government Area.

Dr. Chris Duruanyaehie from the department of Biotechnology Federal University of Technology Owerri hailed integrated farm project and stated that it will exposed the state as the most fertile area in Nigeria.

He urged the youth to embrace the project and called the Local Government Areas who have not keyed to the project to do so, he also advice the state government to establish. Agro-biotechnology in the Local Government Areas of the state.

It could be recalled that recently the governor of the state Owelle Rochas Okorocha during the establishment of integrated farm project said that it will open up vast economic potentials in the rural communities and improve the internal generated revenues of the Local Government Area and provide technical assistance to the rural farmers as well as enhance food security in the various communities in Imo.
