In one of the previous editions of AMEN Super News we once featured Patience Ifeanyi Michael under our Adoration Icon page in an article we titled “Patie, the sweet voice of a sage” in the that article this is what was written about her
“Are you very regular in Adoration Programme? Have you ever taken your time out to listen to the voices that clinch the microphone during praise and worship? Obviously if you have, you must have notice one spectacular voice that sings heavens down on earth.
It is not the usual style of singing with a faked voice or miming a memorized song; the voice is natural and has a way of a natural flow that combines Igbo philosophical words in a proverbial style that touches the heart and leaves the listeners with goose flesh. If you have ever been to a funeral where a sage is singing a dirge that strikes mourners to cry, that is the way this voice strikes the listeners to feel God’s presence whenever it begins to flit out of the microphone.
She has a penchant for translating present circumstances into songs without missing the pitch and flow. Whenever she sang with closed eyes, just know that her listeners will be in trouble of shedding tears of joy or cold shivers until she is done.
That is the voice of Patience for you, one of the adoration singers. She is popularly called Petie (like that of the former Nigerian First Lady) and many of us including AMEN Super News do not know her other names, yet she is widely known by something more than her name, her voice.
The next time you listen to lead track of the latest album of Fr Mbaka “Who can catch the Lion” or listen to praise and worship in Adoration progrmames, don’t ask us ‘which is her voice?’ Just search out that voice that renders hyperdulia in proverbial style and tell us what you think. She is indeed an Icon worth celebrating for her singing gifts just like many other wonderful voices in the Ministry. Patie, you are a nature-endowed voice”.
It is revealing that behind the glorious voice of this singer was an ugly shame of years of barrenness. She was married to the first husband about the year 2002. The marriage came to a dead end as a result of her in ability to bear children. She was disgraced out of the marriage yet that did not lower her faith and hope in the omnipotent powers of God of Adoration Ministry to change her story. Patie continued in her service to the ministry and in 2013, she remarried to Michael, a famous singer popularly known by the title of one of his musical albums called “Obaranso”. Days rolled into months and months into years yet no child was coming forth from the marriage. Patie was made an object of caricature by her friends and relatives. Critics of Adoration Ministry used to mock the ministry and Fr Mbaka with the case of Patie when they say that if God indeed does miracles through Fr Mbaka why can’t He make Patie one his famous singers fruitful?
Sometime about three years ago, while Patie and others were in the studio with Fr Mbaka working on one Fr Mbaka’s musical album Fr Mbaka had a vision of Patie carrying triplets, he prayed for her and prophetically told her that God is giving her triplets whose names are Cherub, Seraph and Shekinah.
About two years after that prophesy, Patie had a fibroid operation and after some time began to experience some signs in her womb. She thought it was the fibroid problem only to go for medical test and she was confirmed pregnant. The pregnancy grew in leaps and bounds as it was attended with constant contractions which started at that early stage. It was as this juncture that Fr Mbaka relocated Patie and her husband to a duplex and furnished same for them. Following medical advice that she should be kept under constant medical check, Patie was admitted at Park lane Hospital Enugu for months under the watch of gynecologist. The long and short of it was that while the ministry was still basking in the euphoria of the uncommon miracles that happened during the Easter Holy week, the news came on 20th day of April, 2017, that Patie had delivered triplets, two boys and one girl. We leave you to imagine the joy that comes along with this miracle not only to Patie and his family but also to Fr Mbaka and Adoration Ministry in general. But just in case you want to confirm this or hear more from the horse’s mouth, you can reach Patie on this phone number 08139645879
