FAKE NAVAL OFFICER NABBED IN ENUGU

A fake Naval officer who has been swindling unsuspecting members of the public within Onitsha and its environs as well  as Enugu, who gave his name as one Sunday Oka a native of Ezza-agu in Isielu local government area of Ebonyi state but resides at Mmakwum Obosi In Idemili North Local Area Of Anambra state have been nabbed by the operatives of the New haven Division of the Nigeria Police Enugu state command.

He was nabbed by the operatives on 26th of December 2015 when he allegedly dressed on Nigeria Naval Army and a face cap and went to the station where he identified himself as a Nigerian Naval Officer to solicit for the release of his associates in crimeidentified as Abea Johnson and Henry Nwankwo all of Ezza-agu Local Government Area of Eboni state, who were nabbed earlier by the operatives on an alleged case of being in possession of fake currency notes in which suspects on 17th December 2015 had gone to a shop at Nanka street, New haven Enugu to buy things with the fake currency notes and got the real currency note as a balance in return.

However, the owner of the shop having observed the situation, raised alarm which attracted the a attention of the security operatives. It was gathered that the fake Naval officer Sunday Oka had allegedly gone to the House of Henry Nwakwo where he extorted the sum of thirty four thousand naira under a guise that he was going to get Henry out of detention and on the same day, had an issue with Henry’s wife one Mrs. Charity Nwankwo over serving him food without meat which was later resolved by people around.

Recovered from suspect are fourty five pieces of alleged fake currency notes of 1,000 naira denominations. All the suspects are helping the police operatives in their investigations and are pleading for forgiveness. To Sunday Oka who revealed that he is a panel beater and married with four kids, he attributed the situation he is facing to the act of the devil. He maintained that he wore the alleged Naval T shirt and face Cap to deceive the operatives and make them succumb to his request. Further revealed that he has not been in any of the forces let alone Navy
