Nnamdi Kanu Lacks Capacity to Handle Biafra Issues -Amb. Obiozor

The successor to former Ohaneze Nd’Igbo President General, Chief John Nwodo and Nigeria’s former ambassador to the United Stated of America, Prof George Obiozor has decried separatism insisting that “the Igbo nation is not at war with Nigeria and has nothing pending before any institutional authority that demands a separate existence from Nigeria”The Ohanaeze supremo contended that “Nnamdi KANU is one of us and he must listen to some of us for several reasons. The fact and reality are that the issues of Biafra are above and beyond his capacity to decide.He must listen because he is one of us and were all in this dilemma together” and added that there must be respect for the sanctity of Igbo collective and mutual responsibilities so as to ensure that all actions and utterances that Igbos in present and imminent danger or harm’s way must be avoided.

Ambassador Obiozor at the maiden world press conference since emergence As Ohanaeze leader,held the organization’s secretariat in Enugu today just as Joe Biden was being inaugurated as the 46th US President.

He paid growing tributes to South East governors as well as the Nigerian Governors forum as well as to President Mohammed Bihari, former President Olu Obasanjo for VP, Abubakar Atiku, the clergy, the royalty, Ohanaeze members and predecessor, Ahaejiejemba, Egnr Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwuas well the youths and women wings.

He observed that following his emergence there had been a ground swell of encouraging support for Nd’Igbo manifest in the number of congratulatory messages from all sections of the country opining that “it is obvious that at this critical time in our history, leadership of Nd’Igbo ought to transcend partisan politics, make-believe, rhetoric’s, propaganda and shadow boxing” pointing out that “it is imperative that the primacy of Igbo interest as opposed to selseeking propaganda and mere political ambition should be the bedrock on which Igbo derivable and ideal leadership today must be anchored” even as he eulogized the caliber of persons making up his executive.

He listed security of Igbo’s both at home and abroad as the top priority of his administration as well as economy and education disclosing that the Alaigbo Stabilization Fund initiated by his immediate predecessor would vigorously pursued to achieve collective success albeit as Igbos have been recording individual successes.

The Ohanaeze boss and former university teacher declared that though Igbos started late in education and cut off by the war, they risen to be leaders in that sector even as he deplored the national decline in education and pledged his administration’s commitment to reverse the trend, and ensure the enhanced usage of Igbo language in schools in Igboland and beyond.

He underscored the need for unity among Igbos through emphasizing that which unites instead of hyping that which divides and declared that” principally, the goal of this administration is aggregating our individual successes into common action that will lead to collective success.

He stated this period was a time of reassessment of interests and or options counting restructuring, realignment, reorientation, decentralization or devolution of power, and all tribes and the nation are all involved in these and concluded that Igbos seek are justice, equity and fairness and a world where justice and fairness reign.

He stated that Igbos are nation builders and will engage other Nigerians in a discourse where they would offer them voices they cannot refuse, and enjoined all to imbibe word with a team spirit even as he reiterated his resolve to discharge handed to him by NdIgbo creditably with dedication and devotion buoyed track record of very unblemished career in leadership and in service of Nd’Igbo.
