She struggled her way to the altar with her child in her hand, a two year old boy. The Child was dead. She later gave AMEN Super news her name as Mrs Elizabeth Onwe and her child’s name as Olisa Emeka Onwe and that they hail from Amofia in Abakaliki Ebonyi State.
When she made her way to the altar entrance and the security tried to stop her, she started shouting on top of her voice “Fr, I will not go home with the corpse of my Child”. That statement did the magic and earned her Fr. Mbaka’s attention. Fr. Mbaka asked the security men to let her come up to the alter. She gave him her dead child and continued to tell him “Fr, I will not go home with the corpse of my Child”.
Reviving the dead is the highest impossibility of man. What could Fr Mbaka do at that moment? The preaching of the day was that Jesus is the Life-giver; it was either God wanted to demonstrate the efficacy of that ministration or the devil had struck to disprove that message. Whichever was the position, we couldn’t tell. All we saw was that a dead child was there at the altar with Fr Mbaka.
Fr Mbaka took the dead child and laid him at the base of the altar, putting his mouth in the child’s nose, he pumped some air inside of him but all to no avail. He showed no signs of life; he pressed his heart all to no avail. The altar drama was about disrupting the day’s ministration as Adorers watched the scene with tears. Fr Mbaka could not hold back his tears as well, but he believed in what God can do. He left the child at the base of the altar, changed the gears of the on-going praise and worship and while that continued, he took the child into the Sacristy. An atmosphere of suspense prevailed in the area as all waited patiently for Fr Mbaka to emerge and continue his ministration. After a while, Fr Mbaka returned back to the altar leading the Child now alive. The child was carrying a bottle of Rapha yoghurt in his hand as he walked round the altar with Fr Mbaka with his two legs.
The adorers raised a shout of joy, her mother couldn’t believe her eyes; she thought she was day-dreaming. Is this what they call miracle? She had never seen this kind, her lost hope is restored, what more does she need to prove that God exist, that God loves her and that the power of God is at work in Adoration Ministry Enugu. She stood confused, seeing her dead child come back to life. It was like a tale, a mirage but it is real. The adorers gave thundering shouts of joy that rent the air as they watched the miracle unfold. It is not a tell-tale miracle; it is not hearsay.
AMEN Super news struggled with the crowd to have a better view of the miracle and could hardly do more than collecting the woman’s contact because the situation did not give us the opportunity for any interview with her.
Barely few days ago, we engaged the woman in a telephone conversation. She was so happy, shouting praises to God. According to her “My child is well and is playing around my house”. She was asked if she had any message for the adorers, she said: “I want the adorers to know that there is nothing God cannot do. Whoever says that the God of Adoration ministry doesn’t answer prayer should see me as a living testimony that God is alive and active in the Ministry. I am so happy, and my mouth filled with praises, let the adorers pray for God to provide me with what I will use to come and thank him for this wonders he has done for my family. She gave us her number as 07033158895.
